John Edwards - You're Whale Guano!

When I watched John Edward announce his Presidential Candidacy at a family member's home - I said "something's not right about him."  I just felt OFF about Edward. Now I know why...

He's Back! Ahmadinejad in NYC This Week Justifying His Nukes

Image
The U.N. (currently one of the most useless organizations on the planet) once again welcomes Iranian terrorist Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to NYC. My city. Once again, I hope hotels turn him down and that NYPD's Finest ticket every diplomatic automobile that clogs our streets - particularly ones that are sympathetic to this lowlife piece of ****. Why's he coming - well there's a month-long periodic review of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Yup, Mahmoud wants the bomb. And his buddies the Egyptians plan to raise demands for Israel's nuclear disarmament. Blaming the victim again. But, Mahmoud should have them... that's right - let's put global annihilation in the hands of a madman! Good thinking U.N.!!! (feh...) Go home Mahmoud. You're not welcome here. And the U.N.? Well I think of a thousand different uses for that piece of real estate. It will save me flipping the place off every time I drive, stroll or am driven by. I'm tired... there are so ma...

Astoria Drivers Face Onslaught of NYC Ticketing Madness

Image
This article is right on! Despite moving from Astoria almost 7 years ago, I still shop there - one of my children's schools is there, my children's doctors and dentist is there. I spent a week in the hospital there last January. I have friends there. I belong to WHY LEAVE ASTORIA and ASTORIANS for news and opinions on local businesses, which I support. Astoria has some recent additions in the form of world class restaurants - places which I gladly take my children! Just today I went to a small store that's only open a few days a week - and showcases the work of local Astoria artists. I went to pick out a nice birthday gift for one of my dearest friends and took one of my kids with me to help. I circled the block for 20 mins looking for parking, since I am disabled and can't walk very far many days. When I came out, I had to climb over poorly removed snow while a ticketing agent stood tapping his ticket machine by my car. My disabled placard tag was clearly pla...

Obama is Insulting Americans.... AGAIN

FROM: NO QUARTER: MSNBC carried a blip of President Obama speaking in New York at a fundraiser. Sadly, the President is up to his old tricks. Remember when he was at a hoity-toity fundraiser in San Francisco and complained of Pennsylvania voters “clinging to God and guns”? That didn’t go over so well. Remember Gates-gate where Obama declared that “the police acted stupidly” before he knew all the facts? Here, in the name of passing health care he says that “Democrats are an opinionated bunch” likely referring to the trouble he’s been having with the Blue Dogs. He said “y’all thinking for yourselves.” Then he says that Republicans basically “do what they’re told.” His robotic arm movements to make fun of “the other party” are really a sight to behold. When is a President supposed to make fun of American citizens — some of whom actually voted the man into office. See for yourselves… Interesting however, is that while he pretends to praise the fact that Democrats are “thinking for themsel...

Hey! They Don’t LOOK Disabled! Who Is Allowed To Park In those Disabled Parking Spaces, Anyway? Have you ever seen someone get out of a car parked in a space reserved for the disabled, who did not LOOK disabled? Did it make you very uncomfortable or even upset? Did you let them know of your disapproval by giving them a dirty look or yelling something at them? Well, you are not alone. Many people are very disturbed by the sight of a seemingly mobile person stealing the space of someone who is truly in need of it. After all, we want to protect the rights of people for whom these spaces are reserved! However, in wanting to help those who deserve these parking spaces, we actually may be hurting someone who does have a legal right and a legitimate need to park there. H ow can this be true, you ask? Isn’t it obvious who is and who is not disabled? The answer is… NO. The qualifications for the general accessible parking spaces include those using chairs, walkers, crutches and canes, as well a...
