The Treason of the Mainstream Democrats by R.W. Behan "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort." --Article III, Section 3, United States Constitution (emphasis added) The mainstream Democrats—represented, say, by Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, John Edwards, Joe Biden, and Christopher Dodd—have not levied war against the United States. Their treason lies instead in committing the second offense: they adhere to enemies of the country, giving them aid and comfort. The enemies are President George W. Bush and Vice President Richard Cheney. Like no other president and vice president in history, these men attacked their country. It was not our geography George Bush and Richard Cheney invaded. Instead they abandoned and subverted the bedrock institution of our Constitutional democracy: the rule of law. By word and deed, Mr. Bush repeatedly and arrogantly ...

But WHY Are Dem Leaders Such Timid Wimps? Since I was one, and in many ways agree with some of what Dems now have to say, I feel comfortable criticizing those who are political wet-noodles. GROW A SPINE!!! by Bernard Weiner When I was in Germany recently, addressing the Democrats Abroad chapter in Munich, most of us in the meeting hall were perplexed by the behavior of Democratic Party officials in Washington, D.C. What is behind those leaders' ongoing timidity that in some cases is making them enablers of the worst of CheneyBush policies, especially with regard to the Iraq Occupation, excessive presidential powers, and the trashing of the Constitution? With those topics in mind, let's spend a bit of time here trying to figure out the possible genesis of this Democratic wimpiness, and what can be done about it. Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Reid appear to be saying: "Given our relatively slim margins in both the House and Senate, and Bush's newfound desire to us...

WHO'S SORRY NOW? I am a big believer in sincere apologies. Not the "I'm sorry" and then making yourself scarce so you never have to interact with the other person again. No, I mean RESTORATIVE JUSTICE . I've seen it in my anti DV-work. Abusers who make have done physical or emotional harm to a victim, looking them up after jail time or an 18 month batterer program and apologizing. Not asking them to get back together but forging a friendship with them. Even apologizing to their family. I have seen a couple enter into Bible study together. Sometimes one or both has a new relationship but they make something new out of it. And this forgiveness and restoration of peace & friendship has a ripple effect on everyone and everything around them. It's tough but its truly beautiful. Judaism says you have to try to apologize sincerely three times. I will do 1,000 when I know I am in the wrong. And of course there's Teshuva as well. However, I am SIC...

ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING - OLMERT NEXT? As much as I usually side with Dems, is this fair? Isn't a warning in itself "playing politics"? Don't get me wrong - Olmert stinks as PM for Israel and as glad I was to see a woman take over as House Speaker - Pelosi really ticked me off by going to Damascus. Sorry but I tend to liberal thinking politically at home and being very conservative in my politics when it comes to defense & international affairs. But Olmerts attempts to join the Bush loyalist camp don't surprise me. Olmert seems to have a penchant for jumping on dead horses and attempting to ride them. Maybe the Dems have his best interests at heart - now if only some Liberals would stop thinking they can actually "talk to" and "negotiate" with terrorists! Democrats Warn Olmert About Playing Politics Despite Concilliatory Talk, Tension Remains Over Criticism of Pelosi - Nathan Guttman Washington - Israeli officials and Democratic la...

Kindness AND Truth Can someone please send this to Nancy Pelosi and all those politicos who still, after years of failed effects with Islamofascists - continue on with the Pollyanna-attitude of peace talks with Arabs? Any more trips could get her the Golden Calf booby-prize. - - - - - - - - - - PARSHAT SHEMINI The Pesach festival is over, as far as the matza is concerned. Yet we continue to move forward, striving to go beyond limitations [1], to discover new domains. The weekly Torah reading [2] presents us with two contrasting and complementary approaches to life, represented by two great figures: Moses and Aaron. From the beginning of the story about how the Jews went free from Egypt, both Moses and Aaron play a vital role in whatever is taking place. Usually they act in total unison, so that it is difficult to see any distinction between them. If one looks more closely, however, one sees that they represent very different qualities, both of which are necessary. The Sages tell u...

OOPS! CARTER DID IT AGAIN! President Peanut just won't shut up and sit down. These types usually don't. They will go down with the ship of fools rather than admit they were wrong. But Carter doesn't think he or Nancy Pelosi (big disappointment) is wrong. They are playing diplomacy with terrorists. Maybe Carter figures negative publicity is better than none? Where's that brother Billy of his? Can't he talk some sense to him? Oh wait... never mind. Carter backs Pelosi's trip, despite Bush's rebuke Former President Jimmy Carter expressed his support for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's trip to Syria, rejecting White House criticism of the visit. "I was glad that she went," Carter said Wednesday. "When there is a crisis, the best way to help resolve the crisis is to deal with the people who are instrumental in the problem." (HUH?????????????) Pelosi arrived in Syria on Tuesday, in an attempt to open direct dialogue with Syria's le...
