by Ralph Peters Salaam aleikum, dudes! I thought I knew a little bit about the Middle East. Boy, was I wrong. Last week, President Obama set me straight. Here's what our president taught me during his Middle-Eastern pilgrimage: There is no more terrorism. Wow, cool! No more security checks at airports, right? It's unclear which side won, but it's all over. Obama didn't mention terrorism a single time in his star-turn speech in Cairo. Only a few "violent extremists" (our own troops?) remain at large. America tortured. I thought there was still a debate about that, but I guess not. And no regime in the Middle East tortures anybody, ever. Our bad. Churches and synagogues are about to open in Saudi Arabia. Since "Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance" and there are "over 1,200 mosques within our borders," I can't wait for the first Baptist hymn-sing in Riyadh. Sign me up! First I didn't go looking for this article, it was sent by a friend. But I feel compelled to blog about though I know not everyone will agree with me. I am no prude and I try not to engage in sanctimonius judgment of others. But I am somewhat appalled at the way the media tries to sanitize & excuse what these women do for a living; partly because the partners find it acceptable. I always feel sad that pretty women have to make their livings in this way. I am well aware men watch this stuff -- you can tell because they find "real" women ugly or 'not good enough.' It's bad enough we live in a sexualized society -- and it's bad enough when people who cheat either blame the other party they cheated with, lie about it or say they were 'driven to it' by a 'bad marriage' or some other nonsense -- but writing about this as if its O.K.? Every guy wants a porn star in the bedroom. I am fine with that... but there are limits to what I find acc...

THE WHEELS ON THE BUS GO... KABOOM! A friend told me about this, when I first heard it I was stunned. So I went searching around the web and - there it was!! First it was flight school, then Newsweek trying to sanitize them - now this. Yes I know not all Muslims are bad. MUST MISS THIS FALL: DHIMMI-TV The longer I am alive, the more I see how Hashem has a reason for everything that happens. I am not quite sure what the reason was today but here's what happened... I woke up in tremendous pain. This is the reason I am considered totally disabled, because flares hit me without warning. I got my child, who is in summer school, ready. By then a mild pain killer had kicked in. I got them to school and came home and went back to bed with a heated "oat bag." My long muscles burn when I am in flare and I only know some relief in sleep. The very second I wake up, I am back in pain. I am grateful that I had someone to pick my child up from school and bring them home. I struggled through making and eating dinner. (Now as my second pain killer is kicking in - I am doing my nightly blogging ritual then back to bed.)
