Obama Cashed In Before the Inauguration!

EXCLUSIVE: Obama's $500,000 book bonanza Jim McElhatton and Christina Bellantoni EXCLUSIVE: As he empathized with recession-weary Americans, President Obama arranged in the days just before he took office to secure a $500,000 advance for a children's book project, a disclosure report shows. The terms of the book deal were disclosed in a Senate financial disclosure report filed Tuesday. Analysts say there don't appear to be any rules that would bar such transactions after a president takes office, but it's unclear whether an incoming or sitting president has ever signed a book deal upon entering the White House. "I don't recall any sitting president entering into a book deal," said campaign finance lawyer Jan Baran, former general counsel to the Republican National Committee. "They all have historically done that after they leave office. "I recall the only ones who did sign book deals while living there were first ladies, and my recollection is th...

Blagojevich to Cash In!

Image
Of COURSE he's writing a book. Don't they all try to paint themselves as victims by rewriting history ? And Blago can cash in too!! What's he going to call it? "IF I DID IT"?? Stop me from laughing until I pass out! How long before Oprah has him on? A publicist for Rod Blagojevich says the former Illinois governor plans to write a book "exposing the dark side of politics." Glenn Selig says Blagojevich signed a six-figure deal Monday. Selig says the book also will detail how Blagojevich selected President Barack Obama's successor in the U.S. Senate. Blagojevich was impeached and removed from office following his arrest on federal charges that include allegations included he tried to sell the Senate seat. He denies wrongdoing. Selig says Blagojevich's book will tell the truth and will reveal information "that will at times be embarrassing to himself as well as to others." Selig says Blagojevich's book will be published by Phoen...

Plug Pulled on Book about Islam's Prophet's Child Bride

Image
Book Based on Prophet Muhammad's Child Bride Yanked At 11th Hour A racy, historical novel based on the Prophet Muhammad's child bride A'isha was supposed to hit book stores in the U.S. Tuesday. But in a rare case of self-censorship to preempt possible violent reaction by Muslims, one of the world's largest publishing houses pulled the plug on the book just before its release date. Sherry Jones, author of The Jewel of Medina , said she received word from Random House Inc. that the book's release would be "postponed indefinitely." The decision came after copies of her book were sent to stores, her book tour was scheduled and her work of fiction was accepted by the Book of the Month Club (it was scheduled to be in the August selection). "My book is a respectful portrayal of Islam, of A'isha, of Muhammad. And anyone who reads it with [an] open mind will come away with an understanding of Islam as a peaceful religion," said the American author. Cl...

A "Scorned Woman"?

Image
Poor Scott McClelland. Now BushCo and their PNAC cronies are calling the guy everything but a "scorned woman." If he was a Jew - there'd be accusations of "lashon hara" being leveled at him. If we wait long enough -- maybe there will. I've been called "a scorned woman" or "hell hath no fury" or "unrequieted stalker" and even a "disgruntled employee." I always did it for the right reasons. I never ever have done so to "get" someone or to "have revenge." I have to laugh because each and every SINGLE TIME I've been called those names it has been for the same exact reason: I TOLD THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH. Being a truth-teller or whistleblower is no fun. Scott obviously just couldn't live with himself anymore. What he said was no different than what many people have said in the last 8 years of the Bush Crime Family disaster in Washington. The Republican Party is going have a rough time pulling...

Post a comment on here that you have answered..then post your answer on your own page. My book is When Moshiach Comes, A Halachic and Aggadic Perspective by Yehudah Chayoun. It was nearest me as I was going through it again....so here we are at page 161: "Yalkut Shimoni, Shir Ha Shirim 1, In those days the house of Yehuda will go to the house of Yisrael.. BUBBA GIVES JIMMY A SOUTHERN STYLE SMACKDOWN OVER ISRAEL Another Clinton Smackdown on Carter Yesterday we reported on Bill Clinton diss of Jimmy Carter’s book in a letter to the American Jewish Committee. It turns out Bubba took a shot at Carter several weeks ago, in a March 6 appearance at the United Jewish Federation of San Diego County… The Union-Tribune reports… Clinton criticized former President Carter’s controversial book on the Middle East, which likens Israel’s policies to the apartheid system of South Africa. “If I were an Israeli, I wouldn’t like it because it’s not factually accurate and it’s not fair,” he said. JIMMY CARTER'S ANTI-ISRAEL AGENDA By: Jonathan Feldstein You don't need to read former President Jimmy Carter's latest book about the Middle East to know what it says. The title, " Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid ," says it all. Nobody will be surprised that this is Carter's latest forum through which to bash Israel. After all, Carter has done so for the better part of the last three decades. And I've witnessed some of these criticisms firsthand. In the early 1980s, Emory gained international recognition with two major events. The first was the Woodruff gift, which helped to establish one of the largest endowments ever in higher education. The second was the decision by Jimmy Carter to establish his Carter Center at Emory. One of my early activities when I was a student at Emory in the 1980s was with the now-defunct student newspaper, The Voice. Early on, the Voice's editor published an article in which he described the Carter Center as "Jimmy Car...
