Brainwashed by the Taliban

Image
Pakistan – Seemingly never-ending tales of terror abound in Swat, where the military has fought against the Taliban for years and where parents speak of being forced to surrender young boys to the militants who train them to become suicide bombers. The scars may take years to heal for Hamad Ahmad, one of many Pakistani boys purportedly brainwashed by the Taliban and determined to enact maximum carnage as a suicide bomber. His mind trained on violence and his heart full of God, Ahmad says he wants to carry a pistol and strap explosives to his body in the name of Islamic law -- not hold books and wear school uniform. "I am ready to carry out a suicide attack against any target with approval of my ameer (chief)," said 15-year-old Hamad, who claimed he received 40 days of training from the Taliban after being snatched last year. Hamad, who talked to AFP by telephone from Qambar village in Swat, is now among a group of teenagers being treated by military psychiatrists in the wa...

Top 10 Reasons Not to Let Hamas Arrange Your Marriage

Image
By Marylou Barry Have you ever wanted something so badly that you would have accepted it from anyone, even if you knew that person placed absolutely no value on you, your family, your future, or your right to go on living? That's exactly what hundreds of single people are doing right now in Gaza, the southern coastal region of Israel that was ethnically cleansed of Jews and surrendered to Islamic terrorists by the Ariel Sharon administration four years ago. According to the Associated Press article "Hamas gets into matchmaking biz," Hamas's Tayseer Association for Marriage and Development in Gaza is now in the profession of introducing men and women seeking marriage partners. Tayseer, which handles the more mundane functions of the Hamas political/military outfit that runs Gaza, bills itself as the "humanitarian" arm of that terror organization – quite a turnabout for hoodlums whose only accomplishments to date consist of robbery, rape, kidnapping, murder an...

Scary Court Cases

Image
by Tom McLaughlin Two recent court cases on two continents make me very nervous. That they're even being tried is outrageous. That either may succeed is ominous, and few people know anything about either one. First is the case of Roger Barnett - an Arizona rancher who has been under siege by illegal immigrants and drug dealers. In the Washington Times, Barnett claims illegals "tore up water pumps, killed calves, destroyed fences and gates, stole trucks and broke into his home." Now sixteen illegals are suing him in federal court for $32 million, accusing him of "conspiring to violate their civil rights when he stopped them at gunpoint on his ranch next to the US-Mexico border." The sixteen illegals claim Barnett caused them emotional distress by holding them at gunpoint and they want $2 million each. Chief among our federal government's responsibilities is to protect American citizens from foreign invasion, but it's done little or nothing to help Barnett...

"The Cold-Eyed Certainty of the Fanatic"

Sean O'Neill, Crime & Security Editor The eight young men sitting in the dock presented a picture of respectability. They were dressed in suits and ties, or smart sweaters, and each had combed his hair carefully or trimmed his beard neatly. But these young Britons, aged from 23 to 29, had allegedly planned and volunteered to take part in a terrorist suicide mission that would have rivalled the barbarity of September 11. The “plot” had been finessed in the East London suburb of Walthamstow and the town of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, but its impact would have been global. The intention, it was alleged at Woolwich Crown Court yesterday, was to detonate liquid explosive bombs on seven transatlantic airliners that would have all been in mid-flight. Around 2,000 passengers and crew could have died. The selected flights would all have left Heathrow over a period of 215 minutes en route for Chicago, San Francisco, New York, Washington, Montreal and Toronto. The prosecution said that...

'Un-Islamic' Afghan radio station burned 2 poppy eradication police also killed; 100 slain in 2007, officials say Arsonists set fire Friday to a radio station near Kabul accused of being un-Islamic, and two poppy eradication policemen were killed in Afghanistan's southwest, officials said. Four gunmen broke into the offices of Radio Zafar before dawn, tied up two security guards and then set the station's equipment ablaze, said Paghman district police chief Abdul Razaq. The station's director, Najibullah Nassir, said militants have accused Radio Zafar of being morally corrupt and un-Islamic. Its programming includes shows on Islam, sports, news and music. The station has 16 employees, including two female journalists. The Afghan media have flourished since the fall of the Taliban in 2001, but journalists often face threats from militants and warlords for airing critical stories, playing music or employing women. Also Friday, a three-hour clash broke out in southwest...

Abbas Accuses Israel of Ethnic Cleansing

Image
So typical... So disgusting... Such blame-shifting, smear and ponerized LYING! What does he call Fatah's kassams? The P.A. Welcome Wagon!? The first trick of the defensive & guilty: SMEAR THE VICTIM By HEIDI VOGT Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas accused Israel of implementing policies he claimed were part of an "ethnic cleansing" campaign in the Palestinian areas of Jerusalem. Speaking at a summit of Islamic countries in the Senegalese capital Dakar, Abbas said Israel had carried out policies designed to force Palestinians out of the city. "Our people in Jerusalem are under an ethnic cleansing campaign," Abbas said in a speech. "They are suffering from a series of decisions like tax hikes and construction prohibitions." Abbas said Palestinians "are facing a campaign of annihilation" by the Israeli state. In Washington, U.S. State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said that "we would not use that term to describe the situation. ...

Ideological Warfare I had a few problems with this otherwise very good article. The main one being that we need to wage an "ideological" war on terror. That is an excellent point - harkening to the rose-colored statement of the Chimp-in-Charge that we needed to win the 'hearts and minds of the Iraqi people.' But a point not totally off base, upon reading this piece. This would be fine IF we were not dealing with Islamic terrorists who present a CLOSED SYSTEM OF LOGIC to their own members. Evident from their archaic treatment of women and their brainwashing of children. Again - this article is good except it makes the common mistake of saying we and the terrorists are on a level playing field. It does however, make some very good points that we cannot continue to treat these cultures of hate, death and terror equally to ours. We cannot allow them to enjoy the same freedoms because of political correctness because the abuse and pervert these freedoms for terrorism...

WELL, WHADDYA KNOW! out of "706 terror-related EU arrests in 2006... Half of the offenses involved threats from Islamic extremists," Europol says SURPRISE SURPRISE SURPRISE (cough cough)!! BRUSSELS, Belgium - More than 700 people were arrested across the European Union for terrorism-related offenses in 2006, and half of those arrests involved threats from Islamic extremists, a European-wide law enforcement organization said Tuesday. The Europol report was released as EU officials debated proposals for boosting the powers of the bloc’s law enforcement arm to enhance police cooperation in fighting cross-border crime and terrorism. Almost 500 terrorist-related offenses were carried out in the 27-nation EU in 2006, most of them by separatists or nationalists on the French island of Corsica and in the Spanish Basque region, the report said. A total of 706 people in 11 EU countries were arrested in connection with terror-related offenses, half of them related to plots by Islamic ex...
