Did Obama Send a Cardboard Cut-Out to the U.N.?

In the wake of Bibi's strong speech - it's impossible not to compare O-lame-A's speech and weak rhetoric to it. And yet this guy's POTUS! We went from a sociopathic moron to this inexperienced narcissist. Let us pray. Well, if this isn’t an analogy for an empty-suit presidency, nothing will suffice. It’s too good to be true and so almost certainly isn’t, but as this rapid-fire look at 130 photographs from the UN this week shows, it’s hard not to draw the conclusion that the POTUS has a COTUS. Watch the frozen image of Barack Obama’s face on your first pass, and then check the position of his hands on your second pass: Barack Obama's amazingly consistent smile from Eric Spiegelman on Vimeo . The grin is almost Chesire Cat-like, staying in a fixed position in every shot while the angle of the camera moves. The hands stay in exact position in relation to the body. The angle of the head doesn’t change over 130 frames, either. Either that’s a cardboard cutout, or like...

Obama's POTUS less than Three Months and already he's exposed that he really is The Music Man! Not Your Sweetie writes: Credit for the cartoon Only yesterday (see update) I was mentioning Rasmussen’s +4 indicator (down from +30). Today, Zogby comes with the new numbers which tell us : Americans split on the president’s performance. He said the score factors out to “about 50-50.” According to Boston Herald, Zogby attributes this to : “It’s not because of the gaffes, but a combination of high expectations and that things aren’t moving fast enough with the economy.” To which they add the disastruous media appearances, where the teleprompter was left behind and the “gallows humor” brought along. Here’s my theory. Zogby is of course right - the lack of economic change is a good part of the reason. Some of the 50% who now disapprove may also know the definition of insanity - doing the same thing and expecting different results. A few of us noticed Obama is repeating the B...

Democrats Need To Admit They Have A Problem: They Are Addicted to Backing Down by Arianna Huffington Here's 5 of the 12 Steps, Democratic Leadership - Read 'em, Be 'em, Love 'em - because you're a bunch of jellyfish! I changed my party affiliation a while ago - and you just validated my decision! Step 4 - Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves Step 5 - Admitted to God, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs Step 6 - Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character Step 7 - Humbly asked God to remove our shortcomings Step 8 - Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all Step 9 - Made direct amends to such people wherever possible (except when to do so would injure them) And to Arianna Huffington - AMEN! - Barbara) "Mostly quiet acquiescence, if not outright support." That is how, according to the Washington Post, officials present...

We Don't Want More Liberal Representatives, We Want Stronger Ones Sorry I haven't posted today. I have been struggling for a week with pneumonia. Then I had a very bad PTSD trigger last week (totally unexpected and out of the blue) which really messed me up for a few days. I thought I was feeling better after a few rounds of IV antibiotics but now I feel like a truck's parked on my chest. Ugh. I couldn't even make my late Nana's famous latkes today - but I did get the kids to & from school. So with Olmert, Abbas, Bush, Condi and all the other clowns that are destroying what's left of their countries, here's some very interesting reading from Cenk Uygur . Happy Hanukah everyone. There is this misconception in the press and in Washington that the netroots and other progressive activists want their representatives to be more liberal. The myth is that we want to drag the party all the way to the left and take them away from the center. Nothing could be...
