Words and promises during the campaign were thrown around willy-nilly with no intention of following through them. It was all a masterful strategy to hoodwink and bamboozle the voters. The irony is that Obama warned the voters that they would be hoodwinked and bamboozled but the voters didn’t realize the guy warning them was also the perpetrator. He has gone back pretty much on everything he promised during the campaign. He has developed a pattern of saying one thing and doing just the opposite. If Obama had done things like he said he would and he had a coherent plan that made sense, people would not be opposed to health care reform. AN OPEN LETTER TO JON STEWART by Ron Rosenbaum Dear Jon Stewart, You probably don't recall, but I was one of your earliest, most enthusiastic media admirers. I wrote a column nearly a decade ago, shortly after you took over The Daily Show, when you were still struggling for recognition of your genius, before the massive media love-in that took a while to develop. STEPHEN F. HAYES - PUT DOWN THE KOOL-AID!! I got to watch REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER this week and saw the performance of writer Stephen F. Hayes, who was roundly laughed at by the audience and Maher. I was so disgusted I wanted to call and get him into some sort of a rehab program for the hopelessly delusional. Just who is this clown? Here's what Wikipedia says about Hayes: Hayes is well known for his writings postulating an operational relationship between Saddam Hussein's Iraq and the al-Qaeda terrorist organization.
