Let's Hope Obama isn't as Naive as Carter

Image
Obama's Charm Offensive and the Global Jihad By Jeff Jacoby EARLY IN HIS presidency, Jimmy Carter set about to a letter US policy toward the Soviet Union. Six days after his inauguration he sent a letter to Soviet ruler Leonid Brezhnev, hailing the two countries' "common efforts towards formation of a more peaceful, just, and humane world" and saluting Brezhnev's supposed "aspiration for strengthening and preserving. . . peace." In a commencement address at Notre Dame, he declared that Americans had shed their "inordinate fear of communism." In the months that followed, Carter slashed the defense budget, scrapped the B-1 bomber, welcomed the Sandinista coup in Nicaragua, and launched diplomatic relations with Cuba's dictator, Fidel Castro. It wasn't until the Soviets invaded Afghanistan in 1979 that Carter finally woke up to his naiveté. Moscow's brutal aggression "made a more dramatic change in my opinion of what the Soviets...

Terrorist Appeasers Abound

Image
I am continually disgusted but not shocked by what I read about Islamofascists and their enablers. A very skewed look at reality. A psychopathic society of delusional haters. They & dhimmis like Carter are pinning their hopes on a supposedly terrorist-friendly Obama and his administration. Let us pray. Carter hopes for improvement of U.S.-Syrian ties under new U.S. administration Visiting former U.S. President Jimmy Carter here Saturday expressed hope that relations between Washington and Damascus would improve after U.S. President-elect Barack Obama takes office in January. "I don't have any doubt that the situation will improve between the United States and Syria after we have a new president," Carter told a press conference after meeting with Syrian President Basharal-Assad. Carter, who arrived here from Beirut earlier in the day, expressed his hope that the new U.S. administration would send an ambassador to Damascus soon in the new year. ...

PeaNUTZ' a Bigot

Image
Gillerman's being polite. Carter being a bigot is a drop of the harm he's done to Israel. Israel's ambassador to the United Nations on Thursday called former President Jimmy Carter "a bigot" for meeting with the leader of the militant Hamas movement in Syria. Carter, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, "went to the region with soiled hands and came back with bloody hands after shaking the hand of Khaled Mashaal, the leader of Hamas," Ambassador Dan Gillerman told a luncheon briefing for reporters. The diplomat was questioned about problems facing his country during a wide-ranging discussion with reporters lasting more than an hour. The briefing was sponsored by The Israel Project, a Washington-based, media-oriented advocacy group. The ambassador's harsh words for Carter came days after the ex-president met with Mashaal for seven hours in Damascus to negotiate a cease-fire with Gaza's Hamas rulers. Carter then called Mashaal on Monday to try to get him to...

Dhimmi Carter - A Confused Simpleton

Image
Jimmy - tell me -- what is it? It's SOOOOO confusing! Is it: Hamas & Syria Are Open to Peace or Hamas Has NO PLANS to Recognize Israel Jimmy - you truly are addled. The nuances of communicating with psychopathic savages seems to have eluded you. And you are seriously delusional. In short, you bought a lie. AGAIN!! And you now want to sell it to the rest of us? The one thing I have said here and on my other blog, and something I tell the abuse victims I work with - WATCH THEIR ACTIONS NOT THEIR WORDS!! Hamas and Fatah continue to fire on Israel, send suicide bombers - yet a couple of their flunkies say they "want peace?" And you believed them? PUHLEEZE!! Jimmy, the home called - time for your medication. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Senior Israeli officials were not the first to try to get out of meeting Jimmy Carter. A number of members of Bill Clinton's administration have already tried, including the former president and his wife the candidate; most members of Bu...

Jimmy, That's the Sin of Sodom

Image
I spent some time on Sunday reading all the news and blog posts on Jimmy Carter's latest nonsense. This man is obviously never going to get it. So I propose that we move him and his family to Gaza and stop letting him enjoy the fruits of the U.S.A. Carter doesn't get that Hamas has NO INTENTION of doing anything other than giving the WORD "peace" lip-service to get what they want. Like a guy saying he "loves" you just to get in your pants there's nothing but self-serving lies behind it all. And Jimmy's just proved, once again, how STUPID he really is by not only buying it - but trying to sell it to the rest of us. That's the 'Sin of Sodom', Jimmy... making someone BEND OVER FOR IT. If you want to commit that sin, don't expect anyone else to go along with you! So -- Jimmy, SHUT UP! Carter Defends Plan to Meet Hamas to Promote Peace By Matthew Benjamin Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter defended his decision to meet with leaders of...

PEANUTS SHO' DOES LOVE THEM TERRIERISTS, MAW! Rednecks really bother me. I can't deal with them. I have some in my extended family. I am polite and try to be friendly. But I guess growing up in a town and high school loaded with them - and literally shooting to New York City as fast as I was able once I was out of college - should speak volumes about my discomfort with rednecks. And Jimmy Carter - is a self-admitted redneck. On top of being completely wrong and delusional about Israel Alan Dershowitz, on the other hand, is a fantastic writer who always gets right to the heart of everything. Shining the spotlight yet again, on Dhimmi Carter - he talks about Carter's ongoing efforts to personify himself as a man of peace who is supportive of the Religion of Peace. Carter has quoted Martin Luther King, but Dr. King would tell him what he told a student at Harvard who criticized Zionism: "When people criticize Zionists, they mean Jews. You're talking anti-Semit...

FORMER PRESIDENT peaNUTZ BLASTS BUSH & HIS BUDDY BLAIR I used to have some respect for President Carter. Habitat for Humanity and all that. But then he started in on Israel, skewing or just plain screwing up facts. And all that respect went down the bowl and then some. Granted I think Bush is a cunning sociopath and I have no use for him and his ilk. Blair isn't my favorite person either though I am planning on blogging about the ONE thing I think he did right regarding negotiating peace in Ireland. (a little fun with Bush & Blair in honor of Blair's departure) But Dhimmy - how far down your throat are you going to shove your foot now that you have lost all credibility with everyone but the extreme left (I am a lefty but not THAT far left. And not left at all when it comes to the Middle East)? I was with you right up until you Dhimmied yourself. Now, nothing you say is going to be of any value to me. Bush stinks - yes - but coming from you? Tacky, tacky, tacky...

OOPS! CARTER DID IT AGAIN! President Peanut just won't shut up and sit down. These types usually don't. They will go down with the ship of fools rather than admit they were wrong. But Carter doesn't think he or Nancy Pelosi (big disappointment) is wrong. They are playing diplomacy with terrorists. Maybe Carter figures negative publicity is better than none? Where's that brother Billy of his? Can't he talk some sense to him? Oh wait... never mind. Carter backs Pelosi's trip, despite Bush's rebuke Former President Jimmy Carter expressed his support for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's trip to Syria, rejecting White House criticism of the visit. "I was glad that she went," Carter said Wednesday. "When there is a crisis, the best way to help resolve the crisis is to deal with the people who are instrumental in the problem." (HUH?????????????) Pelosi arrived in Syria on Tuesday, in an attempt to open direct dialogue with Syria's le...

BUBBA GIVES JIMMY A SOUTHERN STYLE SMACKDOWN OVER ISRAEL Another Clinton Smackdown on Carter Yesterday we reported on Bill Clinton diss of Jimmy Carter’s book in a letter to the American Jewish Committee. It turns out Bubba took a shot at Carter several weeks ago, in a March 6 appearance at the United Jewish Federation of San Diego County… The Union-Tribune reports… Clinton criticized former President Carter’s controversial book on the Middle East, which likens Israel’s policies to the apartheid system of South Africa. “If I were an Israeli, I wouldn’t like it because it’s not factually accurate and it’s not fair,” he said. (Hat Tip: Shmuel Ros ner of Ha’aretz )

JUST STOP IT! PLEASE! This blather is making me really ill, Jimmy. If you were here in D.C. I'd be sure to pay you a visit before I head back to NYC! Get a grip on reality! Stick to building homes for the homeless. I LOVE it when people are wrong headed or their logic is twisted or misinformed and they just dig their heels in and scream their version of reality louder or slam anyone they disagree with or points out their errors. JIMMY CARTER'S ANTI-ISRAEL AGENDA By: Jonathan Feldstein You don't need to read former President Jimmy Carter's latest book about the Middle East to know what it says. The title, " Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid ," says it all. Nobody will be surprised that this is Carter's latest forum through which to bash Israel. After all, Carter has done so for the better part of the last three decades. And I've witnessed some of these criticisms firsthand. In the early 1980s, Emory gained international recognition with two major events. The first was the Woodruff gift, which helped to establish one of the largest endowments ever in higher education. The second was the decision by Jimmy Carter to establish his Carter Center at Emory. One of my early activities when I was a student at Emory in the 1980s was with the now-defunct student newspaper, The Voice. Early on, the Voice's editor published an article in which he described the Carter Center as "Jimmy Car...
