Affairs constitute a betrayal of love, but not necessarily an abusive one. I am placing the emphasis on abusive, and that cruel act must have deliberate meanness, indifference to the pain being inflicted, and more often than not, punishment as its intent. For betrayal of love to be abusive, it must have some or all of these traits. In this particular commentary, I would like to direct attention to the abuse that frequently occurs when a relationship ends. Usually only one person wants to end a relationship. The other is often heartbroken and devastated at the prospect of losing the one s/he loves. Obviously, a very vulnerable time for both, if both have integrity and are invested in each other. DON'T WANNA' AND NO ONE'S GONNA MAKE ME My children complain loudly when I tell them to clean up their rooms. One of them gets really mad when I go into their room, supervise and show them exactly what I want done. When they go back to school in a few weeks I will do some cleaning myself - along with a large garbage bag. I know they can be obstinant and not do what I asked or find ways around my requests. Is there anything more evil than invoking God as your reason for inflicting pain on a friend, loved one or yourself? This, my dear friends of God, is the crown jewel in life's fantasy realm and continuing saga of stupidity in a search for justification of ones own character and personality flaws. This is the ultimate sin! Do I direct this at the Islamic groups that stone women for being themselves? How about the polygamists who take teenage girls into the bedrooms of grown men?
