I can't imagine the agony this is causing the family & friends of Dr. Faughey; whom I was priviledged to be a patient of for 15 years. Not being able to see justice brought against her killer is hard. Dr. Faughey, however, I know would have shown more compassion that I can muster. Not a day has gone by since this past February when her life was snatched away from her by this psycho, that I haven't thought about her and been grateful that she was part of my life and my support system for so long. I still haven't been able to write a decent note to her husband or anyone else about this; and for that I apologize. The intention, it was alleged at Woolwich Crown Court yesterday, was to detonate liquid explosive bombs on seven transatlantic airliners that would have all been in mid-flight. Mental patient David Tarloff made a grotesque claim while under questioning in the meat-cleaver murder of an Upper East Side psychologist - telling cops his grandmother had tried to rape him as a young boy. Tarloff, 40, who yesterday pleaded not guilty in Manhattan Supreme Court to the Feb. 12 murder of Kathryn Faughey in her East 79th Street office, said "that his grandmother moved in with him and, while he was sleeping, he woke up and his . . . grandmother was on top of him, straddling him," according to police statements. The Queens psych patient also told cops that an unknown man led him behind some buildings and fondled him when he was 5 years old.
