Obama's Price of Failure

Image
When I was getting married I remembered telling one of my friends that I could just about tell which marriages had an " Under-5 Shelf Life ", as I called it. That means, the brides and their helicoptering mothers who were more concerned about the perfect dress, the lavish reception, etc. Instead of worrying what would make a good marriage - things like communication, compromise, understanding and committment. (BTW, my wedding and reception was very small, tasteful and I nabbed a designer gown for under $500 that needed no alterations! My Nana, of blessed memory, was a gown designer and I swear she was helping me from the Other Side!) Granted, my marriage ended but not without many years of effort on my part. My ex still asks me to come back to this day but refuses to do anything about the problems which ripped us apart. He refuses to take any responsibility or even recognize his behavior towards me was wrong. He refuses to see or admit that slowly, over time - not only...

Things to Do Instead of Watching the Inauguration

Image
Take a second and check out the PROMOTIONAL CLOTHING of some of the people arrested in the Chicago area alone. They'll be watching... from jail. FOR THOSE ON AN AGGREGATOR, CLICK HERE TO VIEW THIS GREAT VIDEO From THE CONFLUENCE Since many of us would rather pull our lips up over our heads and secure them in place with vice grips than watch a minute of the travesty of the overlong, overblown, overindulgent, overpriced installation of the Mass Marketed Messiah as president of our country, I’ve decided to offer some fun alternative activities to fill the next few interminable days (or, put another way, the next excruciatingly long, infinitely numbered seconds, minutes and hours) without access to television or any other normal news sources. All are welcome to share their own suggestions with a sure-to-be grateful PUMAsphere. First, many PUMAs, especially those of us who are of a particular age, could benefit from a good wax. Shaving, depilitating, arching, and/or plucking unwanted...

Just What is an Obot?

Image
From the awesome NoQuarter: I recently read a comment from an Obama supporter here at No Quarter, who asked, “What’s an Obot?” I think he was serious! Of course, an Obot is an Obama Robot, programmed to see Obama as good and pure, incapable of evil, and a hero who must be robustly defended from criticism. The word “Obot” came about mostly to describe a paid blogger; there were lots of those during the long campaign. Many were only in it for the money, but most truly believed they were fighting the good fight by attacking his opponents and their supporters mercilessly… and sometimes nonsensically. They were given daily email calls to action, with talking points (they all said the same things), and were basically brain-washed kids. The word kind of evolved from that, coming to include all those zombies who relentlessly visit anti-Obama blogs and spew their opposition to anyone who doesn’t get on the Obamawagon. Some argue intelligently, and they don’t really deserve the epithet, but ther...

The March of Obama's Cult

Image
Food for thought... a LOT of thought. In light of this and this . Who are the Obamaniacs really supporting? These Dems who will vote for ANY DEMOCRAT THAT RUNS aren't thinking. They condemned the GOP for "fear mongering" last election; when now they are "Messiah Mongering" a man with a sketchy background who scares most thinking voters. Who is Obama, really? Does anyone truly know? Does he? If you are on an aggregator click here to see the above video Cult Formation By Robert Jay Lifton, M.D. Two main concerns should inform our moral and psychological perspective on cults: the dangers of ideological totalism, or what I would also call fundamentalism; and the need to protect civil liberties. There is now a worldwide epidemic of totalism and fundamentalism in forms that are political, religious or both. Fundamentalism is a particular danger in this age of nuclear weapons, because it often includes a theology of Armageddon--a final battle between good and evil....

Drink The KooBama-Aid

I was out of town for a while recently taking a needed break with my kids. We went into a local Target and passed by the books section. I have a couple little voracious readers (like Mom!) on my hands, so we all took a look for reading material. I saw no less than 3 (three) books for Young Readers on Barack Obama. All about the Obamessiah and how wonderful, hopeful, change-worthy and perfect the Obaminator-Who-Will-Save-Us-All is! NOWHERE (and I looked) NOWHERE did I see any books about John McCain (not even McCain's book!) in any area of the book sales or any books by or about Hillary Clinton. None. Nada. Zip. I was in a hurry but I did fire off a letter to the manager of this Target when I got home. I am still infuriated that Obamanite's brainwashing, cult tactics have extended to our children... non-voting age kids. Nowhere was McCain's military experience and heroism seen nor where any girls shown they can do & be whatever they want by just the mere presence ...
