The Word "Love" is Overused

There's always the old story, the people who say it to you because they want something (money, sex) instead of saying what they really want. To use you. For me, as Annie Lennox sings in one of my favorite songs, there's " No More I Love Yous. Language is Leaving Me in Silence." No More I Love Yous - Annie Lennox There's only a few people who hear this from me or that I have heard it from in many many years: my children & my family. And I couldn't agree more with this post: The word ‘love’ is used in many different situations. The word is defined as an extreme affection towards someone or something; however this is not the case in which it is used by most. People tend to use the word just the same as any other. No actual meaning to it — it seems that whenever someone says ' I love you ’ they don’t actually mean it. The meaning I LOVE YOU has now shrunk to a simple I love you. REALITY CHECK WITH MY MOO-SHU? One of the MANY things I love about living in NYC for 28 years now is CHINESE FOOD!! I consider egg drop soup to be the next best thing to homemade chicken soup to cure a cold. I love Moo Shu Chicken, Beef and Broccoli and Steamed Dumplings. Aside from a just down the block Israeli falafel place - Chinese food is one of my life's few pleasures. My late parents cringed when I offered to take them for Chinese on one of their visits. They finally relented about 2 years into my living on the Upper West Side and actually found things they liked. My brother had to have his arm twisted when ONE Chinese food place moved into the Central New York community where he still lives, to go there to eat. Now, 17 years later - its a weekly treat at his house and there are about 100 Chinese food places within 20 mins of his home. My kids like Chinese food too. It's a good way for me to get some veggies into my one child who adores carbs! Their favorite part...
