PARDON THE STUPIDITY! Aside from the death of 'poor' Farfur, Bush finally showing his true colors, Peanut-Brain Carter getting a degree (but staying stupid) and Vince McMahon's comments about "'Roid Rage" - I have to start this post of this week's outright stupidity by saying this: IF YOU DON'T WANT SOMEONE TO THINK YOU'RE A LOSER (or CHEATER or LIAR) THEN KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT. If its TRUE - you have no case - legally or socially. I liken this to the DV victims I work with who insist "...but he/she did it too " or "I never said/did that" or "everyone cheats... it's genetic ." ( insert inanity here and pardon my pukin'). In this case the woman was/is a "loser" and if she'd kept to herself - it would have all died down eventually - but noooooo.... Empty barrels continually make the worst noises, don't they? Dutch court denies suit of woman who claimed emotional damages after losing lottery (AM

MARTYR MOUSE, MARTYR MOUSE, FOREVER MAY WE HAVE JIHAD, JIHAD, JIHAD! In a word - UGH! Hamas' Mickey Mouse lookalike 'martyred' Children's program has character killed by 'Israeli' from: WorldNetDaily.com Palestinian children who have been entertained and indoctrinated on television by a Mickey Mouse-knockoff who teaches them to fight for Israel's destruction and Islam's domination over the entire world will have to seek a new leader: the character has been martyred. Al-Aqsa TV, run by the Palestinian Territories ruling party Hamas, has featured a squeaky-voiced Mickey Mouse look-alike named Farfur in the weekly children's program "Tomorrow's Pioneers." However, the show's final episode had the character being beaten to death. "Farfur was martyred while defending his land," said a teen hostess of the program. The mouse character had called the Israeli a "terrorist" and the hostess said he died at the hands of the

Bush's truth decay I originally posted this article on this blog in August 2005. Since people are FINALLY waking up to what many of us knew from day one - BUSH IS A LIAR - I thought it was a good time to post again (trying hard not to say TOLD YOU SO...) By KENNETH R. BAZINET -- DAILY NEWS WASHINGTON BUREAU WASHINGTON (August, 2005) - One of President Bush's most attractive traits has been his reputation for straight talk, but a new poll yesterday found that fewer than half of Americans think he's honest. Only 48% of respondents to an AP-Ipsos survey think he's honest, while 50% do not, the poll indicated. That is a five-point drop from January, when 53% of Americans thought Bush was an honest President. Moreover, some 56% of Americans think he's too cocky, up from the 49% in January who said they view Bush's confidence as arrogance. A solid majority still see Bush as likable and a strong leader, but Bush's overall job approval was at 42%, with 55% disapprov

Bush Isn't A Moron, He's A Cunning Sociopath by Bev Conover, Online Journal Editor And Publisher If any of us are to have a future worth having, the world's leaders, the members of Congress, the US corporate media and people of all political persuasions who value freedom and democracy had better start seeing George W. Bush for what he is: a sociopath and a passive serial killer. Psychiatrists tell us that all serial killers lack the emotions that make us human; that they have to learn to emulate those emotions in order to get by in society. Hence, a charming, well educated fellow like Ted Bundy who is known to have murdered 15 women and may have killed 36 before he was caught. While Bush is no Bundy, when it comes Bundy's education and acquired charm, and to our knowledge has never personally murdered anyone, it has been evident to us that there is something missing in George W. in terms of his lack of compassion and empathy. As governor of Texas, he set a record in sig

MOTHERING: BEING EVERYTHING My friend Chaim from Freedom's Cost called me a "tower of strength and reason" the other day. I don't feel like either so I guess I am still a good actor. Like everyone I make judgment errors and mistakes but I try my best to rectify them, apologize and move forward. I don't believe I am strong, especially after a 'breakdown' in 2004 that ended with my being in the hospital 3x and a clinic. I met some wonderful people though, people who'd also been traumatized - and were moving on despite it all. Something that does bother me is how my disability prevents me, in my mind, from being the sort of mother I would like to be. I don't like to give my job to caretakers, sitters, or anyone else which of course saps my strength. However, I do have loving, compassionate and savvy children with terrific senses of humor so I must be doing something right! My own mother, of blessed memory, and I used to argue a lot. One night she t

ENGAGE YOUR BRAIN I get these emails from the Chabad every day. I read them but, this one really struck me because of the question it asks "What was Balaam thinking?" How many times has someone we know, a family member or something we see on the news made us say "what the heck were they THINKING?" The answer is - they weren't thinking, they were reacting. Hashem however is pro-acting. Hashem being thought itself and giving us the power of cognition hopes we do think. But so often we don't. And to those friends of mine who tell me I think too much - I say thinking brings me closer to Hashem and to making the best choice for my children and those I care about. Engage your brain. THE SHOWDOWN By Lazer Gurkow --------------- They stood arrayed against each other; the best either nation had to offer. On one side stood Moses, who will be remembered as the greatest prophet of all time. On the other side was Balaam, the far-famed soothsayer, whose curses were regar

Ogled By Google Was able to get out of bed for a few minutes to check the news. (The round of conferences, meetings, flying to 4 different cities and taking care of one of my kids (who's asthma has been acting up) took its toll today. Thank goodness I am near family!! I have about 2 more weeks of this to go - a busy start to the summer.) That said I did some reading online today and came across one subject I have found so interesting since starting this blog 4 1/2 years ago: Privacy & the Internet. I believe people are not only entitled to their opinions but their personal privacy. I don't however, believe in harrassment, defamation or other school-locker-room bullying tactics online. Comments? Israel: A Beacon for the Mid-East By Licia Corbella It's telling, or should be, that for hundreds of Palestinians, the light at the end of their tunnel is, literally and figuratively, Israel. Since Hamas has taken control of the Gaza Strip following bloody battles with its Fatah rivals, women, children and Fatah fighters have cowered in a now squalid tunnel hoping to enter Israel and safety. Think about that. Even though the state of Israel does not appear on either Fatah or Hamas maps and even though both political parties' stated goals are the destruction of the tiny Jewish state, this group of Palestinians believe -- or rather know -- that the countrymen of their sworn enemy will treat them better than their fellow Palestinians. These Palestinians languishing in the Erez Crossing tunnel want to get to the West Bank through Israel rather than through Gaza because there is no question in their minds that the Israeli government and the Israeli people will not randomly kill the
