What's it going to take for the Kool-Aid numbed lemmings who voted for this guy to WAKE UP!! This is Moammar! The mastermind behind the 1988 bombing of Pan Am 103 that sent many Americans and some of them just COLLEGE STUDENTS to their death above Lockerbie, Scotland. The same guy the late President Reagan wanted taken out. Obambi bows to the King of Saudi Arabia, schmoozes with Abbas and now he's glad-handing with Khadafy. You made a horrible mistake America. Obambi is a manipulator at best, a Kumbaya-cowboy in the middle of it and hopelessly naive at worst. What are we going to do to defend our country with this bow & scrape appeaser at the helm? President Obama shakes hands with Libyan leader Khadafy By Kenneth R. Let's Hope Obama isn't as Naive as Carter

Obama's Charm Offensive and the Global Jihad By Jeff Jacoby EARLY IN HIS presidency, Jimmy Carter set about to a letter US policy toward the Soviet Union. Six days after his inauguration he sent a letter to Soviet ruler Leonid Brezhnev, hailing the two countries' "common efforts towards formation of a more peaceful, just, and humane world" and saluting Brezhnev's supposed "aspiration for strengthening and preserving. . . peace." In a commencement address at Notre Dame, he declared that Americans had shed their "inordinate fear of communism." In the months that followed, Carter slashed the defense budget, scrapped the B-1 bomber, welcomed the Sandinista coup in Nicaragua, and launched diplomatic relations with Cuba's dictator, Fidel Castro. It wasn't until the Soviets invaded Afghanistan in 1979 that Carter finally woke up to his naiveté. Moscow's brutal aggression "made a more dramatic change in my opinion of what the Soviets...

Obama: The Prince of Bait-and-Switch

by John Pilger I interviewed a woman who had lost eight members of her family, including six children to a US bomb - but mass murder in Afghanistan isn’t news. On 12 July, the Times devoted two pages to Afghanistan. It was mostly a complaint about the heat. The reporter, Magnus Linklater, described in detail his discomfort and how he had needed to be sprayed with iced water. He also described the “ high drama ” and “ meticulously practised routine ” of evacuating another overheated journalist. For her US Marine rescuers, wrote Linklater, “ saving a life took precedence over [their] security ”. Alongside this was a report whose final paragraph offered the only mention that “ 47 civilians, most of them women and children, were killed when a US aircraft bombed a wedding party in eastern Afghanistan on Sunday ”. Slaughters on this scale are common, and mostly unknown to the British public. I interviewed a woman who had lost eight members of her family, including six children. A 500lb US Mk...

Obama Goes Over The Top

Image
By ALEXANDER COCKBURN Only two people have ever defeated a Clinton in electoral combat. The first was a Republican, Frank White who evicted Bill for a couple of years from the Arkansas governor’s mansion in 1980 and – a man of principle – used this window to try to install creationism as a palatable option in high schools. The second is Barack Obama who went over the top in the delegate count last Tuesday night, prompting Hillary Clinton to slouch sulkily to the brink of a formal concession, while she continued to maneuver for everything from an offer of the nomination for vice president, to a big role at the convention in Denver to help in paying off her campaign debts. To have persuaded enough Democrats that a black man can be their champion in November and have a passable chance of winning the Oval Office is a tremendous achievement, even if Obama’s campaign has flagged badly in recent weeks. But by then Obama was cantering through the final straight. The battle was won in the firs...
