Finally - People Wising Up to Oprah the Narcissist Nutjob

Wish Away Cancer! Get A Lunchtime Face-Lift! Eradicate Autism! Turn Back The Clock! Thin Your Thighs! Cure Menopause! Harness Positive Energy! Erase Wrinkles! Banish Obesity! Live Your Best Life Ever! by Weston Kosova and Pat Wingert In January, Oprah Winfrey invited Suzanne Somers on her show to share her unusual secrets to staying young. Each morning, the 62-year-old actress and self-help author rubs a potent estrogen cream into the skin on her arm. She smears progesterone on her other arm two weeks a month. And once a day, she uses a syringe to inject estrogen directly into her vagina. The idea is to use these unregulated "bio-identical" hormones to restore her levels back to what they were when she was in her 30s, thus fooling her body into thinking she's a younger woman. According to Somers, the hormones, which are synthesized from plants instead of the usual mare's urine (disgusting but true), are all natural and, unlike conventional hormones, virtually risk-fre...

What Has Oprah Done for Obama Lately?

Women turn on ‘traitor’ Oprah Winfrey for backing Barack Obama Oprah fans leave a barrage of negative messages on her official website in response to the talk show host's support of Obama America’s favourite television presenter is paying a painful price for her intervention in the US presidential campaign last month. Oprah Winfrey has been dubbed a “traitor” by some of her female fans for supporting Barack Obama instead of Hillary Clinton. Winfrey’s website, Oprah.com, has been flooded with a barrage of abuse since the queen of daytime chat shows joined Obama on a tour of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina in mid-December. Her intervention was widely credited with broadening Obama’s national appeal - especially among women - and with helping him to an upset victory over Clinton in the first vote of the election year in Iowa. Yet a backlash by Clinton supporters appears to have prompted a rethink by Winfrey, the African-American media titan who is routinely described as the mos...

Experience VS Inspiration

I am flabbergasted. I actually agree with Roseanne. Yeah, I'm shocked too. But this actually makes sense. (And, btw - my inside track told me Roseanne had a pretty hefty non-disclosure agreement for her employees too) by Roseanne Barr When I fly in an airplane I want the pilot with the most experience, not the one who can inspire hope in me that I get to where I am going. When I pay my taxes, I want the person filing them to be experienced, not the new person who inspires hope in me that he can do the job. When I hire someone to fix my washing machine, I want the tried and true experienced person, not the one who inspires me to hope that he can fix it. When I go to the doctor I do not want to get the one who inspires hope in me that s/he can cure what's wrong, but the one who knows what the hell to do the minute I call. It's not really the job of a public servant to inspire, but to get the job that the people demand done. The democrats think that if they have hope and ar...

OBAMA DISCUSSES HIS FAITH... IN OPRAH

I dislike Oprah. There. I said it. Yes, I realize I am in her demographic. Stay-at-home (by disability), children, between 30-60, female. But, UGH! She is just so FULL of herself since becoming a TV icon. The celebrity interviews are insipid. The newsmaker interviews are just a click away from Barbara Walters "fluff" pieces. And her give away surprises make the whole thing look like a used car lot event. Yes, every once in a while a friend emails me to say "so-and-so is going to be Oprah, you have to watch." I tune. And I tune out. When OPRAH magazine launched and she made herself permanent (airbrushed) cover-girl I felt naseous. About 11 years ago I was part of a group from a national advocacy group who was pitching Oprah's producers to do a show about our shared illness. After a couple months of playing phone-poker with us, they took a pass for a really idiotic reason. Their reason was, the story wasn't "uplifting enough." We were a...
