Put a Sock In It!

Image
This whole story is way too familiar to me. Wonder if Sanford would have called any woman he was scr**ing his "soulmate" in order to sanitize things. I say 'yes.' And now he is going to 'try to fall back in love with his wife'? WTH? I hope and pray for the sake of the children and her sanity, his wife Jenny puts his lying, cheating, can't keep his pants on, narcissistic butt on the nearest curb. Shut up Gov. Sanford! You're digging a big hole for yourself with your mouth and your B.S. And just wait until you do it again... and you WILL do it again. What are you going to say then? That sex-addiction and being a womanizer is your real "soulmate"? Spare me. from the Tell-It-Like-It-Is Reverend Amy: “Put a sock in it!” Well, that’s what I would think God would say to Governor Mark Sanford who canNOT keep his big mouth shut these days. See, Governor Sanford said that God wants him to keep his job as governor, and to not resign . Here’s a lit...

Domestic Violence Bloggers Risk Their Lives Reporting on Abuse

Myself, I have been defamed, cyberstalked, harassed, called "fat, desperate, pathetic, scorned, a loser, a nutjob" and names I can't repeat here. Sometimes by people who 'supposedly' know me and attempt to hurt me. Sometimes by people I don't know and have never met, and hope I never will. But I will continue to speak out for myself and for others. Because I have children I love and friends I care about. From RANDI JAMES' TERRIFIC BLOG: In creating domestic violence/ sexual assault blogs, we women bloggers are reclaiming some of the power we lost when we were assaulted and/or are reclaiming our power as an oppressed group. However, this journey out of silence does not come without risks. In exposing the corruption of the family court system and the criminal "justice" system, we are risking our lives so that others may benefit from our courage. I have been noting a few of the deaths that have occurred [recently]. Any one of those deaths could h...

Operation: Get The Hell Off My Porch!

From Cinie's World: Have you had the thrill of an Obamaniac, clipboard in hand, goofy, KoolAid addled, Hoover vac salesman smile plastered across their too-eager, hopey-changey face, happily dingdonging your doorbell like a days-gone-by Avon Lady or modern-day teenage religious missionary, earnestly selling rainbows and half-price Unity pony rides? No? Me neither. Luckily for the Obots, I’m sure my name is number one atop the Don’t Even Bother Do Not Call list. Unlike millions of my fellow Americans, determined to remain huddled behind furniture with their families, cowering in fear as they shush the children and wait for the crazed ObArmy members in their neighborhood charged with getting in their faces to collect signatures for their Dear Leader, Just Barely President Baracus Hubris Maximus (Hail! Ceasar!) to get tired and leave, I would welcome the opportunity to put my own counter-program to their Operation Pledge Project Canvass -- Operation Get The Hell Off My Porch, in ef...

Looks Like a Good Read!

The Jewish State of Bureaucracy By BEZALEL STERN SHUT UP, I'M TALKING And Other Diplomacy Lessons I Learned in the Israeli Government By Gregory Levey Shut Up, I’m Talking , Gregory Levey’s often hilarious, generally fast paced, and ultimately troubling new memoir, starts out with Levey as a second-year law student at Fordham Law School and ends, a (very) few years later, with Levey in Israel, writing speeches for Ariel Sharon. Levey’s rapid rise, as he'd be the first to point out, had less to do with his personal expertise and the quality of his writing (although his writing is generally strong) than with the utter inanity of the ridiculous bureaucracy that is the Israeli government. Levey's stumble into the world of Israeli politics begins when he applies for an internship at Israel’s U.N. mission in New York. After numerous calls to the mission, Levey is invited to the Israeli consular building for an interview with a number of senior members of the mission. Once there, ...
