WHO'S SORRY NOW?


I am a big believer in sincere apologies. Not the "I'm sorry" and then making yourself scarce so you never have to interact with the other person again. No, I mean RESTORATIVE JUSTICE. I've seen it in my anti DV-work. Abusers who make have done physical or emotional harm to a victim, looking them up after jail time or an 18 month batterer program and apologizing. Not asking them to get back together but forging a friendship with them. Even apologizing to their family. I have seen a couple enter into Bible study together.

Sometimes one or both has a new relationship but they make something new out of it. And this forgiveness and restoration of peace & friendship has a ripple effect on everyone and everything around them. It's tough but its truly beautiful. Judaism says you have to try to apologize sincerely three times. I will do 1,000 when I know I am in the wrong. And of course there's Teshuva as well.

However, I am SICK SICK SICK to death of Nancy Dhimmi-Pelosi and the other Democrats who swept in on platforms of CHANGE - who now do NOTHING but pander and apologize. Its sickening.

I have plenty of friends I don't agree with. That doesn't mean I don't love & care about them. And yes, we argue. Sometimes one or both of us changes our minds about certain issues. But the people I befriend have a backbone. Their words & actions match up! They believe in what they say and they walk the walk.

But these political panderers really tick me off. Its a puke fest of Beltway jellyfish.

Stop Apologizing!!!!

Nancy Pelosi did it again. One more apology on a stack of endless apologies from Democrats. Please stop being so damn weak. It's embarrassing to look at.

This time it was a rebuke of Pete Stark (D-CA) for saying the president is getting kids killed for his own amusement in Iraq. Amusement, ego, whatever. The kids are dying and it is all because of the president's vainglory. Pete Stark shouldn't be apologizing for that, Nancy Pelosi shouldn't be apologizing on his behalf or rebuking him, it should be the president who is apologizing!

Read the first article I ever wrote on Huffington Post. It's called the "Seven Step Plan for Media Domination and Opponent Destruction" and it's just as true today as it was over two years ago. The Republicans have done this countless more times since I originally wrote this article. The Democrats are apparently never going to catch on to this shell game.

But I'm long past waiting for the Democratic leaders to do the right thing or realize how badly they're being outplayed at every turn. It's time to start rooting for a new generation of Democratic leaders like Pete Stark and Chris Dodd. If they're ready to do the fighting, I'm ready to stand behind them.

Online Dating - Bad No Matter What There isn't enough money or influence in all the world to get me to do online dating. Ever. I had one stupid online relationship about 5 years ago, with someone I "thought I knew" who assured me they'd 'never hurt me' yet preyed on my good nature at a very dark & vulnerable time, when I was being severely abused. Eliot, I accept your apology. I won't forget your behavior and hypocrisy but I am starting to forgive because of the stand-up way you've handled everything Because you did something very few men who get caught do. YOU OWNED YOUR BEHAVIOR. You didn't deny or act like it didn't happen. You didn't project that you were targetted and harrassed. You didn't put it all out there because of your family, that's understandable - but you admitted you did something wrong and you showed a lot of class in resigning.
