THE FACTS:
The court of case of sexual assault survivor Tory Bowen has been a travesty of justice and it is coming to its second trial next month. The first trial resulted in a hung jury.

Among the 12 jurors who deadlocked last year in the rape trial of Pamir Safi, Milt Foreman belonged to the minority who favored acquittal.

Yet Foreman expressed relief when he learned the Lancaster County Attorney's office had decided to retry the case.
"I prayed they'd try this guy again," Foreman, 48, said "Not guilty didn't mean we didn't think he did it. 'Not guilty' says the state didn't prove its case."
Lancaster, NE County District Judge Jeffre Cheuvront barred the words "rape" and "sexual assault kit" but the jury is not allowed to know of this ruling. Due to Nebraska State Law Section 27-403, Rule 403 - our petition demands the amendment of this unconstitutional law.

In Bowen's opinion, Cheuvront's ruling means she will have to lie on the witness stand.
"The word 'sex' implies consent," she said. "I never once would describe (what happened) as sex. He's making me commit perjury."
Before Bowen's trial, Safi was arrested twice for rape. His past arrests are not allowed in court for this upcoming trial!
