Senators Abandon Rape Victims!

I am reposting this from Montel Williams' Radio Show site, as I heard it this afternoon while picking up my kids.

This is UNBELIEVABLE. I don't care what side of the aisle you are on - this is depraved and I'm calling everyone in Washington out on it!

Senator Al Franken's first legislative victory, which was to deny private contractors from using private arbitration in cases of rape and sexual abuse of their employees. However, 30 GOP Senators voted against the amendment! In other words, they would rather deny victims of rape their day in court then get in the way of private defense contractors from making money! Who are they kidding?

We have to call each one of these Senators and let them have it! Below is a list of all the Senators who voted no and their office phone numbers. Call them and ask why don't they care about women's rights? Despicable!

Online Dating - Bad No Matter What There isn't enough money or influence in all the world to get me to do online dating. Ever. I had one stupid online relationship about 5 years ago, with someone I "thought I knew" who assured me they'd 'never hurt me' yet preyed on my good nature at a very dark & vulnerable time, when I was being severely abused. I won't forget your behavior and hypocrisy but I am starting to forgive because of the stand-up way you've handled everything Because you did something very few men who get caught do. YOU OWNED YOUR BEHAVIOR. You didn't deny or act like it didn't happen. You didn't project that you were targetted and harrassed. You didn't put it all out there because of your family, that's understandable - but you admitted you did something wrong and you showed a lot of class in resigning.
