NATIONAL I.D. CARD?

Good morning, campers.

So now we’re going to get some kind of half-assed national identity card. Congress snuck in this lame new rule that makes states check your citizenship when you get a license. So pretty soon, the record of your identity is going to be in the hands of a clerk at the DMV. I mean, I don’t trust those people to get my eye color right.

This bill is so dumb that even the people who PASSED it thought it was dumb. Otherwise, they’d have passed it in the light of day. Instead, they attached it as an amendment to a bill appropriating money for Iraq.

Did I miss something? Is the DMV now part of the military?

And, of course, this way, the idea won’t get debated. They have to pass this bill. It’s money for Iraq. We don’t want to debate that, right? No, we don’t want to look at the decisions of people who’ve been in charge of everything all this time. We’d rather put all our time and effort into watching everybody who’s NOT in charge.

But hey, at least we can count all the Sept 11 terrorists we could have stopped with this law. … Uh, none of them. They were all here legally.

What a sad waste of time.

First let me say I don't like being fat. Yes, I diet and yes, to the degree my disability (unrelated to my weight) allows me - I do exercise. A while back someone posted really malicious things about my weight, my character and even my disability online. Even throwing in a very twisted, backward and upside-down version of what really occurred between us. To wit (edited for foul language): You used the internet to track him down after 30 years, which wasn’t too hard because he’s a published writer. You got him to agree to meet up with you. When he did meet up with you, to his horror, he saw that his ex-girlfriend from college had ballooned into a 275 lb fat pig with poor hygiene and he didn’t want to bang you. Miriam's Cup

Several new Passover seder rituals are being adopted by Jewish familes to honor the role of Miriam, Moses's sister and the Prophetess in the Exodus, and to highlight the contributions of women to Jewish culture, both past and present. A second cup, called Miriam's Cup, is being added to the Passover dinner table along with Elijah's Cup.
