As if there was any more reason evidence to show that while race relations has moved forward in this country -- gender relationships and the equality of women has gone nowhere and remains in the dark ages... just a few steps from rape and exploitation being JUSTIFIABLE in terms of respect and women being viewed merely as sex objects.

Jon Favreau, just another Facebook victim

The WaPo today obtained this lovely photo of Obama's speechwriter, Jon Favreau, which was posted on Facebook. Of course now all photos of Favreau are — poof! — gone, but alas, not before this minor offense made its way to the surface. You knew it was going to happen. ...

The charming, nice and fun Favreau, 27, has long been touted as a huge rising star — and not just because he shares a name with a famous actor. (Also fun fact: He was the valedictorian at College of the Holy Cross.)

Still, it's been reported that Favreau has reached out to Clinton to apologize.

Interesting post about a disturbing trend in society...hope his apology was meant but coming from a word mincer, who really knows. Unreal in this day and age that women are still fighting to be fully honored and respected citizens of the world.

First let me say I don't like being fat. Yes, I diet and yes, to the degree my disability (unrelated to my weight) allows me - I do exercise. A while back someone posted really malicious things about my weight, my character and even my disability online. Even throwing in a very twisted, backward and upside-down version of what really occurred between us. Miriam's Cup

Several new Passover seder rituals are being adopted by Jewish familes to honor the role of Miriam, Moses's sister and the Prophetess in the Exodus, and to highlight the contributions of women to Jewish culture, both past and present. A second cup, called Miriam's Cup, is being added to the Passover dinner table along with Elijah's Cup. Miriam's Cup is filled with water and symbolizes the miracle of Miriam's well, which sustained the Israelites during their long journey in the desert.
