Please please someone stop the media whores. The Sharptons, the Jacksons, the OJs, the Anna Nicole Circus, the Paris Hiltons, the Imuses, and the - gulp - ANN COULTERs. This woman makes me embarrassed to be female. She's one of the nastiest, most devisive idiots on the planet. She's attractive but her personality makes her ugly.

Life is never without these types who say one thing but do another. Or who say things just for attention, without engaging what few brain cells they seem to have. Its irresponsible. And its damn ugly. And sick.

I am beginning to believe that the media are just covert pornographers by putting filth like her on all the time. I am going back to reruns of the Sopranos.

Today on Your World Neil Cavuto continued his questionable policy of including Ann Coulter as a regular guest. Coulter is not a stock market expert. She is a lamentably sour individual who - like Don Imus - regularly makes outrageous and indefensible comments, guaranteed to inflict the maximum amount of damage and garner her the maximum amount of publicity. Today was no exception. Cavuto scheduled her to comment upon - of all things! - Don Imus' racist remarks about the Rutgers women's basketball team. In light of Coulter's recent over-the-top comments about the death and destruction in Darfur, this has to rank as one of Cavuto's stupidest moves in a long time!

To refresh your memory, here is what Coulter wrote on her own website on April 4th:

"These people can't even wrap up genocide. We've been hearing about this slaughter in Darfur forever - and they still haven't finished. The aggressors are moving like termites across that country. It's like genocide by committee. Who's running this holocaust in Darfur, FEMA? This is truly a war in which we have absolutely no interest."

Asking Ann Coulter to comment on Don Imus is like asking the pot to comment on the kettle. And you can bet that FOX News knows it. That's why they've ignored her indefensible attacks on the people of Darfur. During the Your World interview Coulter asserted that Imus

"ought to be getting credit for being the only person watching girls' basketball. He put them on the map. But it's always unkind to attack a private figure. These girls didn't even, like, write a letter to the New York Times. To be attacking them for their looks - like I say, it's like attacking - the attacks on Paula Jones or Linda Tripp, which were pretty cruel and vicious."

Newsflash to Ann Coulter. The victims of genocide in Darfur have not written any letters to the New York Times. They are private individuals. They did not deserve to be vilified by someone like you.

Additionally, FOX News has not reported about prominent Republicans who have appeared on the Imus show in the past - with the notable exception of John McCain.

A quick Google search shows that Dick & Lynne Cheney appeared shortly after Inauguration Day 2005 (NY Times, 1-25-05), which caused many raised eyebrows. The appearance was arranged by Mary Matalin, Cheney's "longtime friend and advisor."

Republican Senator Alphonse D'Amato got so carried away during his appearance on Imus in 1995 that he made fun of Judge Lance Ito by imitating a WWII-style Japanese accent. He ended up apologizing on the floor of the Senate. (NY Times, 4-7-95).

Towards the end of her interview, Coulter said,

"These are limited purpose public figures. At least that's how it would be described under the law, although this isn't a legal issue. It's just an issue of - of whether it was mean or not. It's mean because these are not public figures. If he had called me a 'ho, that would be fine. It might be funny. If he called Al Sharpton a 'ho, that might be funny. But these girls didn't do anything to deserve that ..."

Ann, the people suffering and dying in Darfur are not public figures.

You are.

So, using your own logic and taking your own words as permission, I end by saying this.

Ann Coulter, you're a 'ho.
