This really chaps my hide! Why? Well, being the Talk Radio addict I have become in my old age, today I was listening to one of my favorite shows - STATE OF BELIEF. I was proud to have met one of this show's producers at the ProFaith Blog Con last summer.
Rev. Getty talked about 'Holy Drinking Water' and I got very peeved. GOD and his commandments, what and how he speaks to each of us is individual, not a commodity to be bought and sold at Seven-11. Its between you and Hashem. People are searching for Him. So many of us have deep holes in our and He is calling. He knows your heart. You can't hide from Him - but now it seems guess you can fast track Him with a few gulps.
One of the reasons I started this blog 4 years ago was not just as a personal journal, but because I was angry. ANGRY that the sparks of the divine Hashem put on this planet are buying and selling Him. The politicians and personal gurus alike. Like my Catholic ancestors of old selling indulgences to pray your way into Heaven. Ugh...
So people, throw those mitzvos out the window and when you sin, don't worry and don't do ANYTHING to change your behavior - because now you can drink your way to Eternal Bliss! (this includes people who fly planes into buildings full of innocents so that they can see their way to clear to a posse of celestial virgins and no Golden Calf needed either, campers.)

Quench Your Thirst, Soul With 'Holy' Water Bottles Blessed By Catholic, Anglican Clergy
Water drinkers in California can now cleanse their souls while quenching their thirst with blessed bottled water.Wayne Enterprises Inc., of San Joaquin County, Calif., is offering its customers "Holy Drinking Water."
The bottles contain normal, purified water. But they have all been blessed by members of the Catholic and Anglican clergy.
The company hopes to expand the blessing to other faiths, as well.
The bottle also features a warning to sinners. "If you are a sinner or evil in nature, this product may cause burning, intense heat, sweating, skin irritations, rashes, itchiness, vomiting, bloodshot and watery eyes, pale skin color and oral irritations."
The company is hoping to ship 75 cases of the holy water to soldiers serving in Iraq.
Patrons wishing to sponsor one of the cases bound for Iraq can do so on the company's Web site, www.holydrinkingwater.info.

Summer of 2002 I finally attended a class at the Kabbalah Center in Manhattan. My friend Sue had been bugging me for some time knowing my deep spirituality and my belief in God. I enjoyed it - I learned. However, it WAS cult like. And I am not a sheep.
Someone suggested I study Torah first and they were right. To this day I still attend Torah study (when I am well enough). Finally, my soul searching has a place to look - rather than the restrictive don't ask, don't tell dogma I was fed as a kid.
Maybe I will have some Holy Drinking Water at my next class! Wonder if its good for sheep too?
